Our history

Hi, I'm Clare born and raised in Rowlands Gill. I have been working within in the Fitness Industry since 1999. But I have been involved in fitness and sport since my Primary School days! My full fitness and sporting experiences easily excel 37years. This is practical training, involvement and team work and sports.

I have always been involved in sport in some sence of the word. When I was in junior school I took part in all aspects of PE. Being talent  spotted to join a local Gymnastic school. This continued into Secondary school where I did as much sport as I could. 

I continued in sport in different aspects through out adult life then finding it again profesionally at my local gym in 1999. I soon became a valued member, working through out the 3 gyms teaching a high proportion of the classes and taking Personal Training sessions, often being asked  specifically for my expertise and experience, but I think because I have always been very approchable, people feel that they are on an even level and because  talk and communication is all plain english, not baffled with big words, science and my goais...  Our sessions are ALWAYS framed around YOUR goals not ours!! (Although we will strive to get the very best from you, maybe more than you think you are capable of)

In January 2012 we were invited  by Deb Stead of Conviviality and Matt Roberts Personal Training of London to apply for a position of becoming the new 'Training for You'  Personal Trainer for the whole of North East England. The fact that we were 'picked out' and our feedback from Deb Stead from Covvivality was 'We were the best candidate from which they had interviewed' and that she thought that we would be 'Ideal, Experienced, Friendly, Knowledgedable, and Perfect' to run and execute the new training concept starting this season.This of course was a huge compliment for us as we have strived and worked very hard in building our qualifications, experience and expertise. Unfortunatly it is currently not the right time for us to take this step. But we are continuing in our own Personal Training develpment and local Fitness Sessions. I feel this this alone shows that we are both capable and able to present a winning formular and get the right results for all our clients. I have worked with many very knowledgeable sports and fitness people in my years within the fitness industry, both being a client and an instructor or coach. From very good instructors, course leaders, lecturers, top class coaches, even olympians, (Jill Hunter, Daniel Boltz, Kirsty and Tony Wade and Chris Cook) While working with all different levels of expertise  I have learnt how to develop, adapt and generally become the all round instructor I now am.

It may take a little longer, but as you know theories and knowedge change constantly. All questions or queries are welcomed. Through out the years I have established your local leading business in local fitness classes. (see calendar for class details) I have helped many individuals with personal goals and challenges such as Blaydon race, Race for life, Police fitness test, Fire Brigade test, Weight loss, fitness progression, injury recovery sessions and rehabilitation programmes, specific sport programming eg: golf, skiing, cricket, swimming, marathon training, athletics, football, cycling, horse riding,  recovery from car/ motor cycle injurys, I have clients with Muscular Sclerosis, ADHD-(school work) Osteo-Arthritis and Rhematoid-Arthritis and also clients suffering from Depression. I have also helped someone complete and pass Exercise to Music qualification!!

My daughter Nicole-Louise completed her final A-Levels from St Thomas More, Blaydon, in 2011 achieving an A* in Sports along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology passes. These along with her GCSE passes will set her on a good course for her future training. Nicole-Louise passed her Level 2 Gym Instructor with LifeTime Fitness Academy and completed work related training at Harpers Gym at Morpeth. Nicole-Louise currently helps by working along with me gaining fitness related experience, she currently helps with the running of our Geordie Joggers beginners running group and will hopefully soon gain a position within the fitness industry. Nicole-Louise is becoming more and more confident and I know she will find her 'neiche' and become a brilliant asset to any session!!! Nicole-Louise stars her 4years of training in September at Newcastle. She will be in full time education and in 4 years time she will be a PE teacher. I am so very proud of all her achivements and will strive to help her to achive her dreams and ambitions. A massive thats to both St Thomas More and to Racheal at St Aidans for her placement positions.

We continually strive to upgrade and expand our understanding of the ever changing fitness industry. We welcome any relevant suggestions that may help us develop and broaden our aspect within the fitness world.

We are always developing our skills and experience. We are currently enrolled in a number of new courses and training workshops. Please keep a look out on our weekly blog for new updates.
